Villa Ardore is everything that you could dream of in a Tuscan getaway. The owners, Christian and Stephen, have put their hearts and souls into Villa Ardore to make it authentic and beautiful.
When you arrive at Villa Ardore, it is very much like a scene from a romance movie, preserved to look and feel like an old Italian villa, but with all the amenities of a modern resort.
The outdoor infinity pool is complete with a bar, shaded lounge chairs, and comfortable, yet classy, patio furniture. The pool is always the perfect temperature and there are stairs and seating in the pool so you can sit, float or swim. There’s even an outdoor shower so that you can rinse off after your swim.
The spa includes a sauna, a steam room, and a jacuzzi. All 3 are luxurious and stunning to look at, wait until you try them! Towels and comfortable seating are available in the spa as well as a spacious rain shower.
Villa Ardore is equipped to host special events, with various indoor and elegant outdoor dining areas. If you plan to stay at Villa Ardore with a group there are private areas to recharge.
My bedroom had its own bathroom with a bathtub and shower, double sink, and patio. I felt like royalty sleeping on the king sized bed made with the best linens. The morning shower was full blast and amazing. I don’t know how they get the hot water there but it never ran cold.
You’ll notice charming details like the door handles and locks, bidets(and toilets), restored wooden doors and ceilings, stone pathways, lemon and olive trees, and grape vines. Then, you’ll find resort amenities just like in a hotel, like outlets next to the beds, bathrooms and showers inside the bedrooms with toiletries and bathrobes, water glasses, and a few steps away, an easy to operate espresso machine in the kitchen. It was easy to connect my phone to the bluetooth speaker system so that I could listen to my own Spotify account in almost every common room, including the outdoor patio and even the pool!
The wine cellar is not a cellar at all, but a temperature controlled room of wines and any libations that weren’t in the bar. The kitchen pantry was stocked with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, more than enough to keep you satisfied until your next meal.
Take a short 10 minute drive from Villa Ardore you’ll find yourself in Castellina in Chianti, a quaint, beautiful town where you can spend an hour or the whole day exploring the local shops, gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside, drinking wine, eating gelato, or dining at one of the many indoor/outdoor cafes. Don’t miss the artisan shops and restaurants hidden from the main streets, accessible by a stairway that leads to a large brick underground tunnel.
Finally, the staff of Villa Ardore are the most wonderful, kind, and accommodating people you will ever meet. There is no waiting to check in and no crabby front desk clerk. Villa Ardore’s host is Franci, a man who was truly in his element. He will make you feel special, give you a tour of the entire property, make sure you have everything you need, and answer any questions you have at any time during your stay. Franci is the most genuine person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in hospitality service. He enjoys his job and you can tell that he wants to make sure you have the best visit possible. The cleaning staff are efficient, quiet, polite, and friendly as well. The entire property was cleaned daily and kept immaculate and no matter how many times I swam, the next day there was always a rolled, fluffy towel on every pool lounge chair.
It is truly magical, tranquil, gorgeous getaway. If you are looking for a place that you will never forget, you will not be disappointed by Villa Ardore. It is an enchanting getaway where memories are sure to be made.
I have not been paid or compensated for writing this and I did not use AI to write this review. I did this because I wanted to share my experience in hopes that others will read it and chose to have the time of their lives at Villa Ardore as well. I stand by everything I wrote in this review.
