Working with Jacopo and Stefania to plan our wedding in Italy was an absolute dream come true. From start to finish, they made the process completely seamless and stress-free, even though we were planning everything from the other side of the world. Jacopo and his team helped make our dreams come true. A simple 'thank you' could never be enough to express the gratitude we feel for the memories made over our wedding week. Our friends and family felt comfortable and cared for-- our hearts and stomachs, full. It was the time of our lives! We're still looking through photos and zooming in to appreciate every single detail that was thought through and executed exactly as we envisioned together. Our only wish is that we could go back and experience it all over again. DIW helped us source vendors who understood our vision and were willing to collaborate. They treated us like friends rather than another customer in the sometimes oversaturated wedding industry. It was also ideal to work with them on our welcome dinner in addition to our wedding day. We are especially thankful to Isabella from Villa di Maiano who helped to keep us calm when we thought it would rain on our wedding day, and to her Beatrice who snapped a photo while we toured Maiano the first time (when it did rain) and saved it for our wedding day! Gloria's work at TuscanLab is just unmatched. We will be using the crest she helped to design for us forever. Mario Albanese Pereira Films and Nakutis Photography made us feel like part of their families, and we are so excited to relive our day through their talented lenses. The preview photos have been remarkable and capture the day authentically. DJ Zano really understood our song selections and was so much fun to party with. We could have danced until the sun came up! Father Nepi will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We are so happy to have connected with such a thoughtful priest. Kaleydo and, of course, Maurizio the tenor, totally took our wedding to the next level. Just wow! Our flowers were a product of lots of time, patience, and revision. Alessandro and his team were able to understand and execute our vision from across the world. Wedding day was gorgeous. Galateo was perfect! We later found out family and friends had asked for extra pasta because it was the best pasta they've ever had. We are also dying to taste our wedding cake again! We are lucky to now consider Jacopo a friend. Our recommendation - hire them.

Distinctive Italy Weddings brought to life a dream we didn’t even know we had. Starting with the owner Rosanna’s hands on support in helping us find the perfect venue in Tuscany - one we didn’t find ourselves despite doing a ton of our own research, then Mariana taking over as our dedicated wedding planner shepherding us through every unknown step and unexpected turn with positivity, patience, and resourcefulness. The idea of marriage and wedding came upon us much later in life, after 10 years together, so uncovering all of our untapped hopes and desires and turning that into a 3-day event in Italy was no small feat. We both run projects for a living, so finding a planner who can match us in the attention to detail, organization, and communications was super important, and DIW delivered. Mariana was up for the challenge and brought such mastery, attention to detail, and flexibility to help us navigate unknown territory. She was able to strike a healthy balance of meeting all of our vision and requirements (including accommodating our preferences for certain vendors outside of their core network - just know there may be a vetting fee), while asserting her expertise and local insight and knowledge where needed. Also, their online system for managing all plans, tasks, vendors, communications, etc. was super helpful for us in staying on track throughout our year of planning. We had some very specific requirements for items that were high priority for us (food, music, design) and they were flexible in sourcing and accommodating options (e.g., down to the type of pasta shape and specific brand of liquors). One thing to note about their role as planners is to serve as an intermediary and project manager, but they are not negotiators. They have preferred vendors they work with and are happy to source multiple quotes and offer their insight from their own experience. The decision on which vendors to go with at the given price points (with the exception of the florist, which they do have one go-to vendor who was fantastic) is on the couple. Ultimately, we did go over budget, but that was due to the choices we made and prioritized. In the run up to the big day, we had some unexpected weather and guest challenges that forced us to make some last minute changes on structural design, specific locations for each activity, and seating chart. We’re running on mostly emotions at this point and we’re so grateful Mariana remained our rational, unwavering rock. She talked us through various options, listened to our concerns and ideas, and we aligned on the adjustments. Everything ended up turning out better than we could have imagined. Mariana was like a stealth magician the day of the wedding, taking care of every small detail, getting all vendors mobilized and on track, and somehow still finding moments to make sure the bride was doing ok. We could not be more thankful to have Mariana and the team there for us, turning our vision into the most magical reality, and helping us kick start our forever on such a high note. THANK YOU!!!

I would rank every aspect a 5/5. Every single detail was of the highest quality. Between food, drinks, entertainment, sound, lighting, flowers, and much more, it was all of extreme quality and the best we've ever experienced. Elizabeth, you were extremely responsive throughout the entire process. I am sure balancing all of the vendors and our requests was not easy. The entire team was professional from the planning process to the actual execution of each event. The flawless execution from the team was very impressive. The level of service and value is unbeatable. We would undoubtedly refer DIW. This goes without saying, the DIW team was extremely flexible with us and all of the complications that came with the planning process and the size of each event. We were very impressed, especially how they managed to make the weather so perfect when we needed it to be! We'd like to highlight several of the vendors that we were extremely impressed with and would be happy to write a referral for. Cantina Pratello. The facility, service, and quality of food and wine was incredible. Swing and Jazz Band. They were so much fun and were the perfect band to set the mood and get the party going! Dodo Design: Everyone loved their bags and all of the gifts within. The fans have come in handy this summer and serve as a wonderful piece of memorabilia. Torre San Marco: The food was absolutely outstanding! Our guests were so impressed. The venue itself is absolutely stunning as well, the jasmine in bloom made it extra dreamy. The Florence Tenors: They were talented and so great with the crowd! It was perfect. Every vendor on the day of the wedding was incredible, but Fiore all'Occhiello, Cascina San Zago, and of course, Knights Club, were the obvious highlights. They were each the best all of our guests had ever experienced.
