Having never spent the night in an Italian villa before I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place provided a truly fantastic experience for the full duration of our stay.

Indoors-
* The rooms themselves are clean and well-lit with air-conditioning.
* The kitchens are stocked with utensils and cookware to make pretty much anything you'd like.
* There's no issue with hot water for showers.
* There are several rooms indoors that work well for groups to hang out.

Outdoors-
* The patio area is massive with plenty of room for any sort of activity you'd like.
* There are shaded pavilions to escape the sun and relax.
* The pool is easily accessible and feels great after a day of other activities.

We spent a week at Villa Michele in September with friends, and cannot praise it enough. The experience was greatly enhanced by the owners, Daniela and Narciso, who made us feel as if we were their personal guests. The villa is "homey" rather than luxurious, although the grounds (pool, gardens, terraces) are like a 5-star resort. The kitchen and "great room" could easily accommodate our group of 10, and the bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. Villa la Volpe was a terrific value, and a spot we hope to return to soon.

Villa Volpe is not a hotel, and not even a villa. Instead, I would describe it as a country farmhouse - complete with a small olive grove and vineyard. It has 9 bedrooms and 9 baths, 2 kitchens, a common room with a computer with high speed internet access and a printer. The villa's owner, Daniella, could not be nicer. When we arrived at he villa, we found dinner prepared , and the refrigerator stocked with goodies. The spacious bedrooms were cleaned several times during our week-long stay. ||||The villa is in a small town about 50 miles west of Florence, and day trips to the Cinque Terra, Pisa, Chianti and other beautiful towns are easy. We also spent several days visiting Lucca, about seven miles to the west.||||We discovered a small winery and olive oil producer next to the villa. Their quality wines and oil were very reasonably priced.||||There were 12 adults in our party, and the villa was spacious enough to accommodate us all. We never ran out of hot water, and the kitchen had enough pots, pans, plates and utensils for us to all dine together. There is an excellent grocery store, and several good, local restaurants less than a mile away.||||In all, I eagerly recommend Villa Volpe, and would love to return there.

We have rented this property 4 times and just returned from visiting with friends who were renting it this June '12. La Volpe keeps getting better as the gardens have matured and the owners have fine tuned the property. It sits in a lovely private location surrounded by vineyards and olive groves yet is 20 minutes from the walls of Lucca - (rush hour excepted). Each room is very nicely furnished; the bathrooms fully equipped with plenty of towels and robes; the typical italian kitchens have every appliance and full-sized refrigerators, unusual in rentals; the terrace has multiple tables for dining; plenty of parking with a gated entrance, and, best of all, the best hosts you could ask for, Daniel and Narciso.

I've been to Europe, especially Italy many times, but I got to say that this was one of the best villa's I've ever stayed in. The location was peaceful, proximity to wineries was excellent. The owner very friendly. The villa was beautiful with a great pool. Very relaxing and close to Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the Beautiful surrounding wineries. We rented both villas at the property, great time.

We visited Lucca looking for wedding venues and Villa Daniela (inc villa La Volpe) was one of the many locations.||We were greeted by Daniela herself (an extremely gracious hostess). Who provided us with a lovely unexpected lunch and an extensive tour of the properties.||We were very impressed with Daniela's high standards in cleanliness, quality and period restoration.||I think this may be the venue we choose.

We rented the Villa la Volpe for two weeks in July 2012. ||We were three families with small children, teenagers, adults and seniors .||With a large pool and a spacious kitchen it's no problem to cover all needs. Excellent service with cleaning, medical service( owner is a medic) and in general very friendly. Excellent base for exploring Tuscany. A small minus for the lack of view and maybe the pool could have been better cleaned.
