This school has helped my son to talk, he has been making great progress. Teachers are considerate towards their students, as well as the parents. I recommend this school for any child with autism.

I'm very surprised by the negative reviews, though I can only speak from personal experience. I'm a Mom of 4, my youngest child (daughter age 4.5) has Autism. I never knew much about ASD's until I learned of my daughter's diagnosis. We have an excellent team of staff working with her at her school from NECC. Ms. Amy Grant is fantastic! She clearly loves her job & takes pride in what she does. She is very friendly, professional, patient & compassionate. I couldn't ask for a better teacher for my daughter. My daughter loves going to school every day & she has made significant progress over time with speech, communication skills & much more! I was hesitant to try ABA, but it's actually working out so well. She has even gone from being afraid of social interaction to making friends with same/near aged peers! I am grateful we have found such a wonderful program, with experienced staff, who thrive to give special needs children the best educational experience possible. If you're looking for something that will greatly benefit your child who has unique needs, that allows them to do things at their own pace, this is definitely a place worth checking out! I'm a overprotective parent, but I still knew right away that I was making the best choice when deciding on education options for my daughter. We had tried a regular basic preschool classroom before finding NECC, but the teacher told us that she didn't feel it was the most suitable choice for my child & I agreed. The goal is to eventually get my daughter back into a regular classroom, but only when they feel she's ready. Another thing I really like about this program is the frequent communication between parents/teachers. You are treated with respect & concern for your child's safety, well being & dignity. They also have you keep a daily log for your child, to let them know things such as when they woke up, how they did eating breakfast, their mood, etc. plus a comments section if you need to share anything relevant to that morning. They also write in the log to inform parents of how the afternoon went, along with any concerns that they may have. I shopped around before deciding this program was the best available & I'm very pleased & impressed with how this works. No regrets whatsoever. Regular/typical elementary school classrooms/curriculum isn't for everyone. This incorporates fun, play, social interaction & structure into learning. You are also allowed to visit the classroom to observe per request at a date that's convenient for both parents & teachers.

I thought this place was the best to send my autistic son but I am realizing now that he is out (since the pandemic began) how little they actually did for him. He suffered majorly academically because of their behavioral focus, not to mention there is little to no peer socialization.

I would consider all options beyond the bells and whistles of this school. Money does not make the institution. People who genuinely care and want to make a student succeed do.

My son attended NECC over a decade. There is ZERO transitional programs and despite having full-time staff no substantial vocational program (Walgreens is the only employer). If you anticipate your son/daughter living at any level of independence, this is not your school.

Teachers and direct caregivers, nurses are wonderful. I felt that CEO is too political (although it does help with fundraising). Loved direct caregivers, was not impressed with a program as a whole. Found it concerning that on Glassdoor website only 25% of employees approve of CEO.

My son has the best care and is learning skills that he lacks in and is on a correct and punctual scheduale inwhich I struggled with his autism spectrum disorder! This opportunity is best choice for mysons rwurn home. I extreemly recamend anyone when with questions reguarding ASD TO contact NECC. They are giving me a blessing with such caring staff who take each job serious and are professional but so caring! From the bottom of my heart I am a gratful mother of a young 3yr old who is currently receiving the care he needs and beyond!
